The team is set, all that is left is the "readiness"! We believe, that the team we have selected is very talented and driven for success. We also believe in the "Team being the Superstar" and not the individual, so I will very seldom mention names, other than who scored and who got the assists, along with goalkeeper saves. We are departing for training camp in Israel on July 6th. The games will begin on Opening Ceremony day, July 18th in Jerusalem. We will play all our games, as well as stay in Jerusalem during the Tournament. After pre-tournament training near Tel Aviv and our Israel Connect tours, we will move to Jerusalem on or about July 17th. As of today, there are 17 Nations competing in the Men's Open Soccer tournament. Thus far the top 8 teams from the 2009 Maccabiah have been seeded. We know that we will be grouped with Mexico, as they finished 4th and we finished 5th in 2009. The number 1 seed is Argentina, who beat Great Britain in the finals that year. Israel is 3rd, Australia is 6th, South Africa is 7th & Canada is 8th. It is time to have fun and "Dare to Dream the Impossible to Achieve the Possible"!
